Taiwanese Public Opinion Foundation

In 2022, a data breach at the Taiwan Education Foundation (TEF) exposed 6902 records containing sensitive personal information. The leaked data included names, phone numbers, email addresses, donation records, and other personally identifiable information (PII).

The breach was discovered in December 2022 and impacted individuals who had donated to the TEF in the past. The foundation notified affected individuals and took steps to mitigate the risk of further exposure. The TEF also worked with law enforcement agencies to investigate the incident and identify the responsible parties.
