In 2015, DaniWeb, an online community for programmers and developers, experienced a data breach that compromised the personal information of its users. Approximately 1,131,636 records were leaked, including usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, and passwords.

The leak occurred due to a vulnerability in the websites software, which allowed attackers to gain unauthorized access to the user database. The leaked data was published online, putting the affected users at risk of phishing attacks, identity theft, and other cybercrimes.
