In 2017, Coinmama experienced a data breach that compromised the personal information of 478,824 users. The leaked data included sensitive information such as email addresses, passwords, and usernames. This breach exposed users to potential phishing attempts, identity theft, and other malicious activities.

The exposed data was reportedly obtained through a SQL injection vulnerability on Coinmamas website. The vulnerability allowed attackers to access the companys database and extract user information. Coinmama has since taken steps to address the vulnerability and improve its security measures.
