In 2023, the startup Beamstart suffered a major data leak, exposing the personal and sensitive information of its users. The breach resulted in the disclosure of 501,749 records, containing a mix of personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI).

The leaked data included names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, health conditions, and medication histories.
