Apolyton Civilization Site

In 2020, the Civilization fan website Apolyton suffered a data breach, exposing the personal information of 123,084 users.

The leaked data included usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, and hashed passwords. The breach was discovered by security researcher Bob Diachenko, who notified the Apolyton administration.

The Apolyton administration responded to the breach by resetting all user passwords and implementing additional security measures. They also notified affected users and recommended that they change their passwords on other websites where they used the same credentials.
